We believe that Holy Baptism is the sacramental entrance into the life and body of Christ. Therefore, anyone who has been baptized with water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit may receive communion at St. Mary’s.

Yes, divorced people are welcome in this congregation and are welcome to receive the Sacraments of the Church.

People of all gender identities and sexualities are welcome at St. Mary’s. We have gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender parishioners as well as clergy.

LGBTQ+ people are welcome in the Episcopal Church at every level of church and parish leadership, and all seven sacraments are available to LGBTQ+ individuals.

You do not have to be an official member of the parish to worship at St. Mary’s. All are welcome to worship with us, and all Baptized Christians are welcome to recieve Holy Communion.

Membership in the parish, however, is a way to strengthen your relationship with your neighbors and with God.

Joining St. Mary’s is easy. All you have to do is come regularly and make a financial pledge. The amount of the pledge is up to each individual. What is most important is that you make a commitment to share with others the gifts that God has given you in proportion to your income and means, and that you reexamine the level of that commitment regularly as part of your spiritual practice.

Members in good standing are consider to be baptized individuals who have received the sacrament of Holy Eucharist at least three times in the past year, and who are givers of record.

The clergy of this parish are available to hear confessions by appointment. Please contact Mtr. Samantha to schedule your confession.

As in the Roman Catholic Church, the seal of the confessional is absolute.

Lectionary-based Montessori-style learning and activities for children and youth are available during the Liturgy of the Word. Young people join the service during the Exchange of the Peace. For more information, please contact the Parish Office.

Marriage is understood by the Church to be a Sacrament, that is, an outward sign of inward work God is doing in the joining together of two persons in one common bond. Same-gender individuals are more than welcome to be married at St. Mary’s.

Members in good standing may, of course, be married at St. Mary’s. Please contact Mtr. Samantha to make plans for a wedding.

Individuals who are not members of this Church are welcome to be married here, with permission of the Priest-in-Charge. We recommend that a couple who is considering marriage at St. Mary’s attend a service on Sunday morning to experience our worship.

The Episcopal Church requires one member of the couple to be baptized. Please contact the Parish Office to set up an initial meeting to determine if marriage at St. Mary’s is right for you.

The clergy retain the right to decline to perform any marriage as a matter of personal judgment and discretion.

We welcome all people who have not been previously baptized with water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit to be baptized at St. Mary’s.

Baptisms are traditionally done on the following occasions:
- The Feast of the Baptism of Our Lord
- Easter Vigil
- Pentecost
- All Saints’ Day
- At the Bishop’s Visitation

Because at Baptism the community will make vows to uphold the baptized in their life in Christ, it is generally recommended that baptismal candidates intend to also join St. Mary’s. Individuals interested in baptism are recommended to attend a worship service at St. Mary’s to experience our worship and community.
